This project began as a self-initiated journalistic exploration of India’s heavy metal scene —
focusing especially on lesser-known bands thriving in remote and culturally underrepresented regions.
What started as event coverage has evolved into the foundation for a future documentary
on India’s grassroots metal movement.
My Role: Director, Videographer, Photographer, Editor
Scope of Work

  • Tracked and covered independent metal concerts across India where the genre has unique regional roots.

  • Interviewed emerging underground bands (under post production) trying to keep the metal scene alive often with no formal industry support.

  • Captured performances, behind-the-scenes moments, and personal narratives via photojournalism and video documentation.
