0.1% — a film about metal, teaser
This project began as a self-initiated journalistic exploration of India's heavy metal scene —
focusing on lesser-known bands thriving in remote and culturally underrepresented regions.
What started as event coverage has since expanded into an ongoing documentary,
0.1% — A film about metal —
tracing the global reach of heavy metal from the underground scenes of Northeast India
to major festival stages nationwide and worldwide.
My Role: Director, Videographer, Photographer, Editor
Scope of Work
-
Tracked and covered independent metal concerts across India where the genre has deep
regional roots
-
Interviewed emerging underground bands in remote villages, capturing personal narratives and the struggle to keep metal alive without formal industry support
-
Documenting performances, behind-the-scenes moments, and community stories through photojournalism and video — currently in active production
